Adelle stilled once more as Grandpa smiled. She wanted to do so much, make him proud of her. She watched as he knelt down beside him, solemnly licking at his chin. She was ready for this, ready for the change that would embrace her. Adelle grew taller as she listened to him, almost bursting with pride. Yes, she was a Broderskab. The blood ran in her, and she would do well by them. There was so much for her to take in. Adelle nodded her head at the words spoken, working at listening to each one and heeding it.

Adelle nodded her head, agreeing to turn away from those without honor. She would become the great warrior, one that Grandpa could love and know would continue the family. The silent words at the end were just for her, Adelle nodding softly in agreement. They were family. Her eyes fell to the rose clasp, recognizing it as matching the one Isa had given her. She would do her best to prevent a comrade from dying. Yes, I understand. Her eyes fixed on the knife. Here it came.
