As soon as the two instincts in Kiara leaped to battle Tharin's did as well. He wanted to force her to submit to his alpha and pay him respect, the other part acknowledging that this was not New Dawn and to assure her they wouldn't harm the pack. A battle between them would be fruitless. The partial submission did earn a wag of Tharin's tail, happy to see that she was accepting of Zalen.
