No puppies? The crushing disappointment was visible. Adelle had been so sure they would be coming. Her tail sank down, ears down against her head once more. There would be no puppies to protect, to train as future warriors. She stared at the ground, nodding her head in agreement at the short explanation given. Her mind had raced so far ahead, to have it snatched away so simply was depressing. None of her plans would come true without the pups.
The playful nip at her ears brought Adelle back out. Bouncing back she growled playfully. Vigorously she nodded. She would be a great warrior now! It couldn't go wrong. The early lessons with her Grandpa ran through her mind, circling around Isa to look for a weak point. Adelle darted in, large paws pushing to hit Isa down to the ground, tail wagging wildly before she leaped back again to measure her success.
