A somewhat impish grin spread across her face at being called beautiful. That word hadn’t been used to describe her very often, only a few times, and mostly coming from Hadley. She thought of herself as pretty but nothing more than that, not with the scar on her chest, the ones on her face, and the ones on her back marred her once beautiful form. No, she wasn’t beautiful, not in the slightest, but she wouldn’t argue with the man she loved.
Yet another compliment came from Hadley, this time it was about her blue eyes. Her eyes were one of the few things Isa liked about her form. It still wasn’t often that her eyes were complimented, hardly ever really. As she spoke, Hadley looked out the window, seeming to be contemplating on going or not. Finally, he looked back to her with a grin and nodded. His lips met hers before he moved down to nuzzle her neck. His comment was both cheesy and adorable but Isa loved it.
Hadley stepped away from her and stuck his head out the door before looking back with a mischievous grin on his face as he motioned for her to follow. Isa quickly moved to walk next to him and reached out to hold his hand. I love you Hadley. Today is going to be amazing. She smiled and leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder as they walked.
