then the time of trouble commences

Apologies for the wait :|

Travelling on horseback would never become his preferred method of travelling, but it would definitely do. Although the blond man had not received any prominent injuries during his fight, the weathered woman’s sword had tasted his skin at strategic places that had caused quite a blood loss overall. Bandages were no longer necessary, and so the dark red scars hid behind the dark folds of his pitch black cloak and the dark, partly ripped headband he had yet to replace for another. There was also smaller, though still visible cuts to be seen on hands and ankles as well, but shallow cuts impressed no one.

He felt less empty than usual. Perhaps there was a spark of genuine enthusiasm, somewhere. It hadn’t been long since he had visited Inferni’s borders, but he had only engaged an unknown female back then. Perhaps he would be fortunate enough to meet his mother, face to face. This could be dangerous for his company, but he had decided against speaking up about his reasons for abandoning the coyote clan. But he believed his current company knew that he had ties to this clan. His surname made it obvious, but none of these two he travelled with were native to these lands.

The Lykoi leaned against the back of his mare’s shoulders with his forearms as Siv’s call rose to call for the coyotes of Inferni. His appearance was relaxed compared to Imhotep’s. Sunset eyes did express a slim degree of interest for once, because there was a multitude of individuals linked to the same blood here; the same blood that coursed through his flawed veins. He wasn’t one for family ties, but it would be interesting to spot a few faces that resembled his own, if only barely so. China was the only other face he’d ever truly care for though, and she would not return to this place.

A pale gold man seemed to be the first to approach, and he knew who the man was at once. Gabriel’s son, no doubt. Itachi patiently adjusted his pose; less relaxed and more guarded for the sake of appearances. Inferni number two and three were strangers, but he believed himself to recognize the red splash on the large, dark male’s snout as Lykoi. He remained quite still as what he hoped to be the last Infernian made her appearance. He recognized her easily, but did not reveal any sign of recognition. He remained motionless in the saddle, and would leave the talk to the talkative. As a potential future scout, he ought to show more interest, but he wasn’t a man for the crowds.
