Gone. She was gone, splintered by rock, despite how shallow her draft was, and how narrow the hull, she had met her end. However, the captain had not stirred from his unconscious state to mourn the loss of his beloved schooner, Hangman's Fall. Such a marvelous craft she had been, and now she was lost to the maw of the waves, rock, and currents.

Death had dotted the beach for a few days now, birds beginning to take advantage of the deceased pirates littered on the sand.

The first thing he had noticed was the taste of copper upon his darkly-hued tongue, though it was faint due to the parched state of his throat and mouth. An achingly dry sight of coal cracked open, the light of the sun downright blinding, causing a wince of pain in response to dilated pupils. A wheeze hissed from those teeth, purple tongue licking at the clotted blood on his lip, before digging an elbow weakly into the sand, dragging himself towards one of the corpses. Tobias felt numb, mind still slugging along as he went to the member of his former crew, reaching for him with a shaking hand.

Finnegan, he croaked, attempting to sound authoritative, though upon the touch, he noted the chill and stiffness in the old navigator's body. Some semblance of grief stirred in the man's gut as he slowly withdrew his hand, slumping onto the sand once more. He was lacking energy... Dehydrated, woozy, head beginning to drum dully. He could feel his charcoal and silver-flecked sights beginning to roll back as he attempted to asses his damage, though he couldn't get past the tears in his coat, unable to focus on the dark pelt underneath. All he could feel was an ache throughout his body, but other than that, numbness was prevailing.

Percival? he muttered, an almost hopeless tone in his voice as he looked about near-blindly, the sun's glare practically unbearable.
