Giselle is all in "OMGCHILDREN" mode even when sad xD. WC: 484

As the call was sounded out, the former Dreamer remained silent. It almost sounded sad, as if the call could bring back everything there once was. 'Elle eyed her surroundings, drinking them in, the usual spark in her orbs diminished from physical and emotional weariness. If this was to be their new chapter in life, Giselle would just have to keep reading and learning about life's little surprises. Nothing could have prepared her for this moment, nothing that had occurred was written in anything she had read. Lucky for her, she had a knight to protect her from such unforeseen events. Before she knew it, she raised her head up at the sound of a young female bounding up to them. She seemed to have no fear of them, which surprisingly put Giselle's fears at ease. As the girl began to speak, Giselle's own face brightened somewhat, especially when her attention became directed at the horse. It reminded the auburn female of her in many ways.

But it was the king himself who followed, and Giselle removed her hand from Silvano's arm and immediately stood up straight. If her books had prepared her for anything, it was presence among royalty. In an effort to calm her nerves, she swallowed upon the male's approach and listened carefully to his words. The woman's first instinct was to curtsy, both to the young princess and the King of the Court, and she did so with all the elegance of having practiced alone in her room several times as a young girl. The gesture was sweeping, the hem of her dress just kissing the earth beneath their feet. "It's nice to meet you, Your Majesty," she spoke gracefully, while powder blue eyes courteously averted the eyes of the male. Instead, they had taken to focusing on the young princess, and could not help but smile. "And you as well, Princess Charlotte." Another small curtsy. Giselle watched as Heritage reacted to his name, and being given attention was something he loved most. The auburn female could not help but giggle softly at the colt's gestures. "Even when exhausted, Heritage loves attention so~"

It was the news of their coming here, however, that made her smile disappear and tilt her muzzle up towards the King. Cream-tipped ears folded back when she heard Silvano's words bring fresh pain to her heart, but His Grace needed to hear them. In that moment, she wished she were the young girl, still naive to the suffering that the world could bring. Though she avoided conflict as best she could, it always seemed to find the red-haired femme like a shadow. All the snow white woman managed was a small nod, enough to support her mate's words, naturally-gloved fingers fumbling at her dress in an emotional effort not to cry again. At least, not until anyone was around to see it... not even the shadows.
