Eris is by Kiri, a gift from Sylvey!
When pressed, she would say they'd trespassed over the pack's lands. Who would doubt her, after all? Even if they had not trespassed, they'd come close enough, and Salsola had a need to slake its thirst for bloodshed. Eris, in particular, had a need for that: she had not been present with the sacking of the camp, and with good reason. She was no fighter; her physical advantages were few and far between. But she was horsed, and the skinny coyotes were afoot, and travel-worn.
There was a great noise of hooves and horse to her side, and the dark woman peered over curiously, sparing a glance toward Alessandra on her larger horse. The pair surged ahead of her and Eris gave chase after the female, not turning back to look toward Alessandra and the other one. Horse snorted, sides heaving with effort as she caught up to the woman, running alongside her. Eris's leg swept out and she leaned, clutching onto the horse's reigns and hanging with her other leg. She connected and the coyote went down, face-first.
The chestnut mare pulled up and Eris whirled her around, walking the animal toward her quarry. Horse did not prance so much as she lumbered, a force to be reckoned with, toward the coyote, who had sat up and seemed to be contemplating running again. Don't, Eris commanded. I will run you down. Get up and walk, the coyote said, pointing toward Alessandra and the male. The coyote stood on shaking limbs, eyes downcast and ears folded back, and turned to walk.
