The sun was almost ready to set, just starting to touch the horizon when Jiya left the comfort of her Uncle’s hut under the instruction to be back shortly for dinner. Her Uncle was not use to taking care of a pup, having never had any of his own, but in Jiya’s mind he was old and thus knew all and had experienced all. There was never a doubt in her mind that he did not know what he was doing, after all he was a teacher and an elder all rolled into one, surly no one’s wisdom was worth more than his. As she got older she would quickly learn not to mix age with wisdom as even the some of the young hold a certain level of wisdom and some old do not hold an ounce of wisdom to their name.

A few tribe members were sitting around, some wildling word, some crafting out of string and others cooking over fire, but Jiya had no interest in these things as she did not have hands to complete the tasks nor the understanding of what a hobby was yet. As she slowly made her way around the village one women in particular caught her interest. The lady was red and white, a very strange coloration, and did not look like any wolf she had seen before. Silently from afar the skinny pup watched her as she cooked some form of meat over a fire. Fairly close by an abnormally large beast stood, the patched lady’s spirit guide.

It struck the young wolf that this women’s guide was massive when compared to her uncles raven, Taga. Suddenly a question came to her brain and her paws carried her towards the strange women. In her deceivingly soft voice the pup spoke up, “Why do some people have very large Guides while others have small ones? Are bigger ones better?” The question would seem silly to some but the pup was genuinely curious to know if there was a direct relation between ones worth and the size of their guide. However her mind was already decided that if there was it was certainly the wiser people who had smaller guides and thus this women mustn’t be very smart at all.
