The answer the red and white woman gave was as expected but it confused the boney girl regardless. So she believed that the animal was a representation of the wolf. But how did the raven represent her uncle and how did this strange and massive beast represent the odd women. Maybe the animal was so strange because the lady herself was odd looking but in that case why wasn’t her animal something like a weird bug? It was clear that the pup was in deep thought when the lady asked for her name. As a question had yet to form in her mind she was able to remember her manners for a brief second, “Jiya. Nihi?”

Being so young and birthed from a mother of the Great Tribe the little girl knew about as much of the Aniwayian tongue as she did English and did not realize that some of the new tribe members did not know the native tongue at all. On the journey with her mother to Aniwaya her mother had made sure to speak both languages, unsure of what language the new tribe spoke more frequently, however Jiya still only held the language ability of a three month old pup.

Looking at the clay and wood based box the orange girl took in the sight. It seemed that many of the huts were different shapes and sizes, made from sticks and clay for the most part. “Hi yasdi ste nvsv? Did you build it?” The instant the two questions were out of her mouth the little one’s brain returned to the guides. Puffing out her chest she announced “My Edutsi has a Raven.” She took great pride in her Uncle, and more in announcing the things that made him better than others in her own mind. Surely a Raven was a wonderful guide, much better than the big beast before her. After all, Ravens could fly and be hidden in the night.
