The AniWaya words momentarily confused the hybrid, for the only languages she knew wholly were the language of her homeland and English. Of course she knew bits of other languages, most Eastern European ones and dashes of Spanish, Latin, Italian and French too. But nothing too impressive, a few words mostly. Luckily, have lived in the tribe for a few months and speaking with Woj a lot, she understood some of the key words. Nihi had been one of them luckily. 'Io' she answered after a moment of hesitation, covering up her slight embarrassment with a gentle smile.
Again, more Aniwayan came from the child's maw, and again (thankfully) they were words that the Wisent had taught the hybrid. 'Yes and yes' she answered, watching the flames and checking the meat. She'd need to add the herbs to them later. But thinking about the mud den she frowned gently. Io had built it all herself because Magda had complained that she was too old to be building,the hybrid hadn't complained, even when she was caked in mud. But she finished quickly and her aunt had seemed mildly impressed by the modest abode.
Her mind was brought back to the girl at her side who informed her that her uncle (or at least that's what she understood it as) had a raven guide. 'That's nice' she commented gently, 'Wojciech is a Wisent. A European Bison'.
