The dark-furred hybrid swagged from the underbrush, storms brewing in her eyes. It was as it always was with Eris these days -- she was still playing the part of the widow, but this too had given her a rather strong sense of entitlement. She was the grieving pack mother, and she deserved the pity and love of all her children. She looked to Itachi with a hint of love and a dash of distain across her coal-hued face, the yellowed tips of her teeth showing in a smile. My dearest Confidant, she said, pointedly ignoring the other canine as she stepped forward to deliver the traditional Salsolian nuzzle to the coyote.
She stepped back and placed a hand upon her hip, body angled toward both canines but muzzle pointed toward Itachi. Who do we have here? Her chartreuse eyes began glancing every now and again at the stranger, appraising her physical appearance. She expected Itachi to speak first, of course, but she looked for her gift -- anything of value that the stranger might offer her. Perhaps it was physical prowess -- Salsola needed quite a bit of this. Of course, the dark woman had no sense of the current situation and what Itachi had discovered regarding this stranger thus far -- her judgement was therefore reserved.
