  • Today would be a day of leisure, she decided. Nor chore, no hunting, just a relaxing day where she could take on her craft again before she fell out of practice. And the day was simply wonderful for it, despite the gathering clouds overhead. Perhaps a little rainfall was what was needed to encourage this day be spent in leisure… or at least shower the she-wolf who was too lazy to take the time to groom.

Before the sun was blotted by clouds, the woman gathered her materials and headed out into the open valley and toward the large stones bordering the lake. She had taken to spending some alone time their lately, even if it was just for a little time throughout the busy days. One stone in particular stood out among the rest, the one in which she stood upon when meeting the generous traveler Penzdez. For a reason unknown to her, it just felt ‘right’ beneath her paws, like the boulder itself had conformed to her weight and posture and became a comfortable seat to recline. And it was on this stone that the female set her craft, unwrapping her deer hide filled with feathers, glass beads and dried flora. She hadn’t an idea what she wanted to make, or felt the pressure of making something extraordinary. Just that she wanted to and that was enough to busy her paws… at least until the rain came.
