...a stretched sliver of hide here, a fastened glass bead there. Well enveloped by her craft at hand, the she-wolf was taken away to her quiet place of calm and contemplation where she reflected upon the past events both recent and far behind. And occasionally, she thought on the future; of the possibilities that came with will and determination. ..of what would become of her and her cherished friend now.

The night had never left her mind even as she passed the days in toil and chore. That profound sense of love and being loved in return had consumed her sense then and allowed her to ponder on thoughts she had believed to have been lost. Ruling beside someone she loved... the hope of a private family of her own... of children. Beneath her heavy coat, she felt herself grow warm at the thought despite the chilling wind as it raked through the valley. Looking skyward she saw the clouds continue to gather til they darkened the afternoon with a certain promise of rain. Without a doubt, it would come and still she would sit alone with her thoughts.

But perhaps not alone for long.

The woman jumped at the sudden greeting, nearly dropping her craft in the process. "Oh!" she yipped in surprise, lowing her muzzle from the sky to look at this stranger. And what her eyes beheld left her speechless for a time. A wolf born from a rainbow? No... not wholly wolf, but still touched by the essence of the vivid hues of the ancestors gift to the earthbound souls. It was stunning, yet strange just the same; an oddity on earth that for one reason or another made her smile. "Hello," she greeted him at last but not without a final survey of his vivid pelt. "You were not interrupting. And please, company would be nice." Though to his other address of her, she did not know how to reply. What was a 'babelini'? And why would he call her a bunny? Was this a part of his culture, she wondered.
