bracing for impact

Do you mind if we close this soon? I haz too many threads. X_X and the bag she found looks like this.

Maggie shuffled around the store, kicking up dust around her with every step. She bent down to investigate piles of worn material as Denver spoke. He didn’t seem to like the idea of a bear toy, but Maggie liked its softness. It would be good for the children when they were young, before their eyes opened. Another stuffed toy was found, at which Maggie nodded. She gave him a little smile and walked a several paces away from him, turning her attention to some shelves that were still standing but were behind what used to be a wall. It looked as though they were in another store entirely.

Several worn olive bags were hidden under lots of larger black ones made of an unfamiliar fabric. She dusted it off, appraising it carefully. It was torn in several places and would probably need to have some straps reinforced, but it was simple and appealing to Maggie. “Look, the little ones would have their own compartments,” She giggled, imaging pups’ heads popping out of each section of the bag.
