WC:Just a little before sunset.
She sat with ears perked in attention, her large white form clearly visible among the dark stones that littered the coastline. She'd chosen one to sit upon that was out of the way of the waves, a large black boulder that stood at least twenty yards back from the water. It wasn't often that she took a moment to sit down and relax, but today she felt that she had earned such a reprieve and she looked out over the water with appreciation. Even while at rest, though, her mind was all business. She'd gotten word that Ichika, the pack up to the north, had been disbanded. She hadn't known their new leader Zyn very well, but her pack had been on good terms with theirs and she considered the disbandment a bit of bad luck. They hadn't been trading anything vital with the Ichikans, but it had been nice to have another pack to rely on if they needed to.
Now they would have to try their luck at forming an alliance with whatever other pack came into existence. Whichever was closest, anyway. She was not picky; most packs were fundamentally the same, and each unique in its own way. The only thing that she would not budge on was size. They could not be a small, weak pack...they'd have to be sizeable for Anathema to consider some sort of an alliance with them and. Otherwise, what was the point? If the pack was small, they could just as easily come in and take what they wanted.
The snow-colored female tried to clear her mind of things, settling down into a laying position instead. Blue-green waves rolled up onto the beach and receded over and over again, and she found herself lost in their rhythm. Forward and back, forward and back. She closed her eyes for a moment, simply enjoying this quiet evening to herself.
