The moment that the other man spoke Conri stopped trying to pull his arm back. Instead, his hand opened to release the rock to the ground, which landed with a soft thud. Jade eyes were suddenly wide, searching the face of the stranger with the faintest bit of disbelief. Could it be possible that he wasn't just crazy? Maybe someone was following him around to try and make him think so. "No.." He answered finally, giving a faint shake of his head to accompany his words. "They just keep laughing. Sometimes loud and sometimes not." But how could no one have noticed it before? Were they all in on it? "For a few days now, that's how long I've heard it. Everywhere." |
