"What of my hat?" Zeitgeist asked as he peered down at the female. Keeping Guillotine held up on one hip the older male had reached his other hand up to tug his hat tighter onto his head. He didn't know what was wrong with the female. Perhaps she was simply addled in the head. Zeitgeist knew of one that was like that but it had been an older female that had bordered on being ancient. Zeitgeist couldn't think of anyone young that seemed to be off in the head the way this female seemed to be.

Once Zeitgeist had gotten to the lake he had been about to put Guillotine down in order to let the boy explore on his own but then thought better of it when he caught the odd female trailing along behind them. He had no clue what was wrong with her. Normally Zeitgeist would feel some pity for someone that seemed sick in the head like she seemed to be but he simply couldn't conjure it up for her. Perhaps if she hadn't made a mad dash for them then he might have been more forgiving. But as it was he simply didn't trust her presence enough to let the boy down while she was still in sight.

"Don't worry, it's not you." Zeitgeist reassured Guillotine when the boy had picked up on the faint agitation that Zeitgeist felt. He gave Guillotine a smile and tried to put the other at ease. Zeitgeist had no clue what to do about the female since she had followed him. He had thought walking away and ignoring her would have sent her on her way to throw herself into harm's way and simply leave them be but that hadn't happened.
