So long had it been since the last mate ship ceremony the Angelo had attended that the storm coloured male was unsure even if he really wanted to go at all; Aeron was tolerable enough and he had no complained about the efficient Atheed, her mate though he knew next to nothing off and could only help the woman was worthy of the Atheed. Despite the knowledge that he really should attended, shadows of memories lingered in the back of his head, killing any motivation to attend that he could gather.... for if memory served right, the last he was present at was his own and he couldn't help but think of memories of his lost love when the prospect of attending someone else's ceremony was before him.
Looking at his table of weapons he spotted a small lone dagger, with an intricate polished metal and black leather handle; a pretty thing, small but weighty and well balanced, something he'd practiced with once or twice maybe but otherwise it was simply sitting there gathering dust. Pacing before the table his eyes flicked over to the bed where Alex was sprawled out reading a book, the title and general contents of which the Angelo was unaware of. Sighing, he made up his mind and scooped up the dagger, wrapping it in a plain black cloth and tying a thing leather strip around it to wrap it up all pretty. Nodding his head towards the door he indicated for Alex to follow and the pair began to make their way over the where the ceremony was set to take place.
Upon arriving he chose to linger out of sight, intending to hand over the gift to Aeron was everything was over and depart without socialising, his mood too low and temperamental to maintain a happy façade or any small talk with members for longer the necessary.
