“Don’t want this to end either.”
He said, there were words missing from his speech but he thought he said them. Then he heard her words, though not certain about her words he could do nothing but smile and hold her tightly. A tingle in the back of his throat made him do what he did next. He called out to the vacinity. A howl of waverying drunkness, and a song about the woman he held. He sang to the world this was his woman and he would fight for her. His nose pointed up, his voice breaking and wavering only because he was so drunk. He wasn’t callling out that his had a mate, no... that was for some time later. When he was sober, and prepare for it all, no this was a declaration he wanted her and he would do anything to keep her. It was a rash move but one he doubted he would regret. He didn’t really think too hard anyway under his inebriated standpoint anyhow so when finished he looked down at Palaydrian, swaying a little but just as suddenly as they had something to do, his mind went blank as though someone had closed a door in a room with no window.
“Maybe we should try to get back home, or should we stay here tonight?”
Jiva asked the woman on top of him. He didn’t want to move her and he wouldn’t though he would be mighty disappointed if she got up herself, which seemed like she quite comfortable. All he could do now is stare. Both their confessions were out, yet it didn’t seem real to him, perhaps because behind her the room was swimming in blacks and greys of the night, or that the feeling of his state was making him feel like nothing iwas real. Or he passed out and this was all a dream. He hoped that if it was a dream that he didn’t wake up. He was having too much of a good time.
