He at first thought he made a bad move as she snarled at his snap towards her bone. He stopped but in that instant she seemed to understand his own game, and she too stopped. He was panting heavily now, but still ready for more. She seemed to get a better idea of a game of keep away and Jiva yipped happy he wasn’t going to be reprimanded and watched as she turned around ready to keep the bone away from him. He, on the otherhand, was ready to grab it. He wouldn’t make it into a game of tug of war. The bone was rightfully hers, but some object to play with happened to be the thing she picked up, so wagging his tail he made to pounce.
Unfortunately the pounce missed entirely and he tried to stop himself but found himself neck deep in cold water. Cringing at the chill he lept up out of it and shook himself and gave her an embarrassed grin with chittering teeth.
“Think it’s a little t-too cold to go in the water.”
He admitted, shaking himself again, though it was little help as his fur was soaking wet and the chill of the morning crept into his fur now. He eyed the bone, not sure if he should resume the play or if he should allow her to make a joke about his fall. either way he was wearing down on the play now that he was wet and cold.
