Picking up his foot again Hadley leaned against a wall. His foot still really hurt, but he didn't want to expose himself in a way that would allow her to attack him. The glass that was in there would have to wait to be removed. His mind ran through what would be needed before refocusing on the threat before him. She seemed to be fairly relaxed, if not understanding of how he functioned. Then again, he didn't understand her either. Hadley just picked up how dangerous she was and tried not to do anything that would lead to him getting hurt.
His ears flattened at her approach, wondering what she wanted now. Confusion glinted through his eyes at her words. Be tough to survive? Fighting back had only made things worse. It was submission that had stopped him from being injured as much as he had been. The torment had still continued, but it was a lot less than before. He was living a better life now as well. Hadley had plenty of reasons to be afraid. So much to lose that he was trying to fight for. He watched her pace, surprised at the sudden request. Yes?
