Zalen’s attention was immediately drawn from any other wolves when he found his mate at his side. She slid her entire body against him, and the moment seemed to drag in long, agonizingly wonderful seconds. When her crimson tipped tail flicked past his know, it was as if the heat scent punched him in face. He looked ridiculous, completely fluffed out and looking more like a porcupine than a wolf. He swooned, and listened in stunned silence as she and those around him sang beautifully into the night.
The dark Alpha’s muscles tensed and relaxed over and over again until he finally too rose his head in song, lending his tenor voice to the quartet. Fayne had joined, and as she come closer, her heat, though not as strong as the Alphess’, mingled in with Titania’s and made a sexual soup out of the air, Zalen seemingly caught in the middle of it. No wonder some males were driven to do unspeakable things in times like this, it was completely maddening.
The sable males green eyes slid over to Tharin and Fayne and crazy ideas swam through his head. Were they to be mates? He honestly couldn’t care in that moment, being completely love drunk for Titania. For all he cared, every male and female within New Dawn could pair up without even a second glance from him.
Finally, his mind began to clear, and what was left behind was pure, unadulterated masculinity. He stepped up beside his mate, flank to fiery flank, and howled deafeningly. It was a call that made it clear who claimed this female, and how strong the pack was. Surely, their calls would be carried for miles.
