Guh, packing and Memorial Day festivities kept me away all weekend!

Titania was breathtaking in the moonlight and it warmed the young Soul’s heart to know her leader was in bloom. The pack was strong and a growing family was all she could ask for. Drin playfully whined as the Alphess licked her muzzle and asked her to lend her voice. There was nothing she loved more in the world than singing. The golden fae returned the affectionate licks and prepared to paint the night with her own voice when powerful jaws tightened around her scruff. A startled yip escaped her maw as she became aware of the dark alpha’s presence, but she acquiesced in his hold until he let her go.
Putting herself at a distance from the mated pair, she submissively watched their conversation, and the Alphess’s display of seduction. Heat is such a strange thing, she thought, realizing the wolfish smile that had formed on her lips. She could see now why Zalen had made such a fuss asserting his dominance. His queen would be wanted by more than just him. Titania called to the heavens again and this time she couldn’t hold back any longer as she too threw her head back to the stars. Drin’s eyes closed as her maw parted in awe at the sky to let forth her own haunting octave of sound. The voices of Titania, Tharin, another pack sister she had yet to meet, and finally Zalen harmonized together and rang out in the night.
This was her family, her new home, her pack that she would defend to the death. Their song soared above the treetops and carried its haunting melody miles away. In the back of her mind she wished Jiva was at her side and she vaguely realized she was now something of the third wheel to her leaders and to Tharin and her other pack sister. Yet she continued to sing, even after Titania disappeared in the night. The pack would sing their love song tonight.
