A smile broke out on her face at his words. Hadley's tail wagged lightly. He'd been right. This was a good idea. Fixing the house, bringing a snack, grabbing a blanket. Surely this would cheer her up and make her feel better. Surely this would prove that she was a good person, no one to be ashamed of. Hadley wasn't really sure what he was planning on doing, but he wanted her to be happy, that simple smile giving him a warm glow.


They continued for some time, Hadley a little too aware of the space between them and the fact that she was acting different. Probably a reaction to how he was acting. He felt a little rotten for keeping this a secret, but he was sure she'd like it better as a surprise. Confusion broke out as she ran off. Okay, something was most definitely up. He didn't know what it was, trying to be discreet as he sniffed at her. Nothing. He put an arm around her, looking at Isa worriedly. You okay? The house was a very short distance off, the town pulling into view.
