OOC: Fayne doesn't exactly know what being in heat means. She only knows that it makes males act strangely. X3 / +692

For the first time in about a month, Fayne was resting well. She was curled up comfortably in the safety of the den and Amy had not entered her dreams once tonight allowing her mental trauma time to dissipate. Soon, the morning light seeped into the den calling for all to wake. The sun wasn't what awoke the sleeping silver princess, but a sudden intensity that seemed to engulf her mind and body. It was a strange but good feeling like all was well in the world. Emerald eyes opened to see her pack mates sleeping all around. What was odd was that she felt as though eyes were on her, waiting for her to make a move, yet all were sleeping soundly.

With a small playful whimper, the small female flipped over on her back and stretched her legs. She rolled around for a moment, her plush tail thumped on the mossy floor of the den. She rolled back over to stretch once more releasing a large yawn followed by quiet whine. It wasn't until a strong aroma filled her nose that she managed to figure out what was going on. This scent had occurred once before and it had brought peril upon her and her siblings. The intense scent that radiated off of her had led rogue males right to them which she was forced to fight off. Fayne was puzzled. She didn't quite understand what it was. She only knew that it attracted males and the last time it had almost killed her sister.

Fayne stood and looked around, another female in New Dawn was going through the same thing. None other than her Alphess, Titania, was also radiating with the intense smell. The she-wolf cocked her head as she sniffed the air trying to find out the meaning of this. She wished she could simply ask Titania but couldn't gather the courage to go to her with such a petty dilemma. As quickly and as quietly as she could she exited the den hoping that none of the males saw her leave. She felt like she needed to get far far away so that none of them could smell her. The first place that came to mind was her beloved meadow. Maybe if she rolled around in the flowers enough she would be able to mask the putrid aroma. Fayne glided, well more like gimped, across the landscape making a straight shot for the meadow. She noticed a increase in energy, she felt like she could run for miles without stopping for a break even with a limp. The silver wolf's tongue hung freely from her mouth as she sprinted. She was so happy!

Once she got there she dove into a flower bed, the same citrus flowers Zalen had shown her. They had the strongest aroma she could smell in the meadow. Fayne rolled around for several minutes desperately trying to rid her body of the scent. It wouldn't go away!! Now, she smelled like the putrid scent AND flowers. She gave a sigh and tried to determine what to do next. She couldn't return, she was certain she would have trouble keeping eyes off of her. Eyes of all the males in the pack. She came to one conclusion, that she would have to stay here until the scent went away. But how long would that be? Fayne dove back into the flower bed and tried some more to get rid of the stench the whole time she was yipping and whining happily. Whatever this was, she liked it. Unfortunately, it had a very nasty side effect, it attracted males and she wanted to get rid of it. But rolling around just wasn't alleviating her body of the stench. Eventually, she gave up and simply lay there in complete bliss.
