It seemed that was all he was going to get from the wolf, and he had to accept it. He couldn’t very well beat it out of him, Scoprius was too green when it came to fighting still and there wasn’t much of a reason to anyway, not to mention they were pack and there was no reason to move harshly on a fellow of his people. The weak explanation would just have to do, although Scorpius knew there was some juicy tidbit of drama he must be missing out on.
“I guess the old caves can be confusing to someone who isn’t used to them.” His reply was short. He failed to understand how the hallways could be confusing, but when the man was young he spent endless hours wandering the various paths and knew the caverns better than he knew his own body.
He reached for the bottle and took it, noticing Alex’s grin but tipping the bottle bad for another gulp before turning back to him. When he brought the bottle down the fluid inside splashed, some popping out the narrow top of the bottle, and landed on the torch. The fire flared brilliantly and Scorpius’s ruby eyes widened with disbelief as he stared at it. It did not take long for the flame to return to normal, but the sight had been thrilling. Was alcohol some kind of fuel for fire?
Alexander was saying something, “…a game?” and Scorpius turned his attention back to the Collins man. No, he didn’t want to play a game, he wanted to experiment more with the fire and the liquor, but he still nodded yes seeing the amusement in Alex’s eyes. “What have you got in mind?”
