Quick as anything he'd seen Kiara twisted back onto her feet. She was graceful in her movement. It was smooth, no breaks that he could take advantage of. His tail continued wagging, even as hers slowed to study the pacing wolf. He would be taking her down soon. The scars that marred her body took no more than a passing glance as he moved in, muscles coiled under his body as he sprang for the pin.
As fast as Kiara turned, Tharin's movement was faster. He didn't have to use such tight turns moving on the outside, giving him more distance to grip. His jaws fastened on his scruff, and he felt Kiara struggle. Just like bringing down a deer he pushed, careful not to hurt her as he shoved her to the ground. Her rump hung up uselessly, fighting to not follow the rest of her down to the ground where she rested. Logic won out though, and it toppled down.
He flicked his ears back as Kiara moved to chew on them, growling playfully the entire time. She didn't give up easily, continuing to struggle against him. Occasionally Tharin shifted so that he had a better grip on the squirming female. She was so stubborn! The struggle halted, her tail wagging as she stretched out, white belly exposed. Tharin looked at the spiral marking curiously for a moment before releasing his grip, showering her with licks. That was fun!
