Fayne's heat had left her with an inexhaustible energy. She had been spending time frolicking in the meadow chasing after anything that moved, conversations with birds and what not. Only Tharin had come to visit her leaving her with an empty feeling and an unimaginable desire. The small wolf was rolling around in the flowers trying to keep her mind off of him. He was all she'd been thinking about since the visit. Eventually, it was too much for her to deal with. She abruptly stood up and looked around the meadow, in search of a mission. There must be something she could do to occupy the thoughts swimming around. Then it hit her. She still hadn't overcome her fear of the border. Which, had only increased with news of the new pack mate, Palaydrian, being attacked by an outside source. She wasn't clear who it was but she was sure it hadn't been Amy. Her scent would have surely been attached to Palaydrian if it had been which ruled the thought out.

With eagerness and determination Fayne made her way to the border. She stopped a few feet away a sudden fear engulfing her. Her hackles raised with no instigation besides the sound of birds chirping and the sight of trees all around her. The silver figure's head lowered with hesitation as she stood there. She could feel her legs trembling underneath her feeling as though Amy was going to pop out from behind of of the many trees and attack. Weary emerald eyes darted all around just waiting for it to happen as if it was a sure thing that she would be executed.

Fayne stood there for a total of twenty minutes before the fear started to dissipate. First, it had build up to a point where she felt like turning and running as she did the time before. But, she was able to push past it probably with help from her heat. It made her bolder than usual. Once she felt confident that Amy was nowhere to be seen, she took a step forward and the whole process started over again. The fear returned to it's heightened state, this time it lasted a total of ten minutes. This challenge was turning into a full day's work. When the fear disappeared for the second time she took the third and final step with took her over the border. The frightened female cringed although nothing was threatening her. She sat there in a ball for a couple minutes repeating the process for the last time. When the fear was gone, she built up all the courage she could gather and took off into the trees as fast as she could. She needed to get as far away from the safety of the border as possible to defeat this fear. She needed to be left with no other option. She ran for a few minutes before she felt her energy returning to her. The freshness of the air filled her lungs and fueled her to keep running. She let her tongue hang from her mouth happily, overexcited to be outside of New Dawn for the first time in a month.

She continued to run until she couldn't anymore. Finally, she came to a stop and looked around, taking a deep breath of the outside air. Her pack mates scents were no longer there which brought a subtle sadness to the dainty creature. She needed to do this though, it was for the best. She continued to stray through the territory in search of water. When she came upon a small trickling stream she leaned down to lap up the water. Even with her head lowered, her eyes were kept facing in front of her. She was now out in the open and anyone could come and decide to ruin her day.
