The view was beautiful. An obsidian wolf stood out against the brown rock of Kre’Nertok Mountain as he stood gazing out on the beauty of his home. Sprawled out before him was all of Sangilak bathed in the falling sun’s orange glow. From here, he could see everything. The Rock Garden was easy to pick out and the far shores of Adlarto’k Lake shimmered wonderfully. It was a heavenly sight to behold and almost enough to distract Jaden from all that plagued him. A decent try indeed, but one cannot truly escape their own mind and he would regret trying. The hike last hike he taken to get this high had left his broken chest heaving for air.
It hadn’t been so bad the first time but he couldn’t consciously allow himself to waste time. Standing up here all day would have been just that; a waste of time. So the Alpha had decided this to be a perfect place to stake visual claim to the land. All day he had hiked up and down the mountain carrying all the firewood he could handle. A decent pile now lay a good distance away from the burning fire it was planned to feed, a fire that could be seen from anywhere on the packland, he hoped. But now the wounded found rest atop the mountain. He sat with long optime legs outstretched and palms down behind him to support his body as it leaned back and away from the dangerous drop.
