The Walls are Closing In.

It was the end of the line, Itheral thought, nearly in tears as he huffed, wheezed, and grunted in a vain attempt to get himself back up the tunnel. Try as he might, he just couldn't reverse; the stone was narrowed right after his ribcage, and any attempt to reverse caught it, threatening to break his ribs if he reversed out. His only hope, he figured, was cramming himself but the way he came. His forepaws were chaffed and raw, near the point of bleeding, but he continued trying to haul his fatass into the tunnel, to no avail. All he accomplished was getting himself even more tightly wedged in.

Itheral finally went limp, wheezing and panting. It was really a comical sight: the wolf enormous backside, stuck up in the air slightly, his gut squished and bunching up over the little hole he was wedged in, making it look almost like he was some bizarre statue attached to the wall. As the reality of the situation slowly crept upon the wedged wolf, he laid his head upon his forepaws, whimpering softly.

"I'm going to trapped here forever..." he muttered to himself, hoping that it rained at some point, so he'd at least have something to drink. But wait...what if there was a really 'big' storm, and the tunnel started to fill with water with him trapped in it? He'd be slowly covered in water, until...

The wolf-cork began to panic again, and planted his hind paws on the wall, trying to pull himself out. Tail flapped about, rump shaking and wiggling....a rather unflattering view, given that a male by the name of Alaki was unknowingly behind him. With the tunnel totally plugged, Itheral hadn't heard Alaki's snide remark, and as far as he knew, was still all alone down here. "Come on, come on!" Itheral houted, the panic clearly in his voice, a muffled cry that could be heard by his observer at the rear, "I don't wanna die! Not like this!"
