The day had gotten warm and the sun was shining, much to Itheral's displeasure. If there was one thing he hated, it was warm, sunny days. Oh sure, it was all nice and pretty, but his black fur always made it uncomfortably hot. His size didn't help much either. So, after having a small snack of leftover rabbit he'd caught the day prior, the wolf began a little exploration through the nearby woods he'd wandered past. There was some form of shade there, and besides, he could heard the faint babbling of a creak not too far ahead. That would make a nice place for his daily nap.
Tongue lulled out of Itheral's open maw, the fat wolf panting heavily as he trudged forward through the underbrush. Leaves crunched underfoot, twigs snapping as those large paws trundled over everything, making their way towards the stream. His mind was clouded at the heat, his body still not yet accustomed to the warm, muggy heat of the area. He considered a swim in the creak, but as it came into view, he was it was far too small for a wolf of his...stature. Sighing deeply, Itheral walked over to the edge of the babbling creak, and let himself flop down, snout resting just in front of the creek. "Well," he thought, resting his head upon his crossed forepaws, "At least I'm in the shade now..."
Almost as soon as his eyes fluttered shut, Itheral was fast asleep, snoring softly. Tip of his tail flicked about, his right hind paw twitched every so often. Occasionally, the tubby brute shifted over onto his side with a heavy grunt, twisting into what looked like a rather uncomfortable position. Soon enough, he had rolled onto his back, large belly facing the treetops, limbs tucked up against his body in a rather amusing fashion. His hind legs would sometimes peddle into the air slowly, as if he were dreaming about running. As comfortable as the new position was for Itheral, it did cause his snoring to grow quite a bit louder; surely alerting any and all creatures nearby to the snoozing brute's presence.
