Coeus had wandered out of his pack lands, he wanted the relief of being by himself just for a little while. There was still so much to do in his new home that he was overwhelmed, a run when calm him down, maybe hunting or seeing sights. He had never wandered far into the decrepit city, but it seemed as good as any to try it. The crumbling buildings were fascinating, reminding him of childhood stories his mother had told him. He even traversed in his optime form, preferring his lupus form when he went out on his own. His lean, muscular body was enjoying the exercise, maybe he could practice with the dagger he had borrowed from the armory. He had no idea how to use it, but he hoped he wouldn't have to even think about pulling it out.
As he loped on the weed dominated ground, he heard a howl cutting through the near silence. His mane bristled instinctively, as he glanced behind him. The howl was close and seemed welcoming, he could not deny that he was hopelessly curious. If there was something going on, he wanted to know about. It wasn't often that a seemingly lone wolf would call out for company. Shrugging his broad shoulders he submitted his baser instinct and trotted toward the direction of the sound. As he came closer, he began to smell the smoke and the blood. The latter making his mouth slaver with anticipation, he hadn't eaten all day and his empty stomach had been awoken by the smell.
Finally, he into range of the camp to see. There appeared to be a small gathering at this point but the main attraction seemed to be a cream colored dog that sat drinking from a bottle. The whole affair seemed non aggressive, if not a little strange for his taste. Nonetheless, he approached the camp picking his way down until he was at the edge of the group. Still curious, but very much confused, he asked, "What's going on?"
