Almost against her will Neela’s nose twitched as the delightful aroma of cooked fish filtered into her nostrils from the main room. Free from the scent of blood the food didn’t trigger her nausea as badly and along with its scent came the welcome scent of Tony, causing Neela’s uncompressed ear to twitch in his direction slightly when he entered the room.

Neela sniffed carefully and unsurely at the fish as it was placed down before her, regarding it with a glance more suited for a potential enemy than a piece of food. Carefully she stretched out her muzzle, stripping a small piece of flesh from the fish with her tooth and slowly chewing it. Almost as soon as she had begun to eat the morsel Neela’s stomach began to rumble in earnest and a sudden hunger came over her. Suddenly ravenous he tore into the fish, devouring half of it in one mighty gulp, small bones snapping as she tore into it.

It was the sound that did it. Neela froze stock still when she heard the sound, bones breaking and snapping as she tore into the fish. For a moment time seemed to stand still and then Neela lunged forwards, violently retching and vomiting up the contents of her stomach into a helpfully placed bucket at the side of the bed before sinking back into the pillow, exhausted by the effort of the sudden movement.

”Sorry love, thanks fer the effort though.” She muttered weakly as she shifted gently, trying to get herself comfortable again on the bed. She was about to doze off again when Tony suddenly started speaking again, stuttering nonetheless which was rather odd for him. Neela reopened one eye, amber orb rotating to fix on his face, ”Yeah, whas up?” she asked, one ear cocked curiously.
