Nervousness flooded through Hadley. It was about time for Isa to come home. She had left for the trading town a little longer than a week ago, despite Hadley's concerns that she would be attacked, or that the stress would lead to her losing the pups. He was working on making barricades for the pups, including a simple nest for them to be tucked into. It was little more than an overly large wooden bowl, scraps of fabric filling it to create a cozy nest for the pups to sleep in. It would help in their room though. Hadley was beginning to think they just might have to move out into a house.

A call from the border brought his attention. Isa! She was back! Tail wagging he sprinted out the door, the large hybrid bounding over the land. Traveling in optime wasn't necessarily the fastest way to go, but bound as he was to only two forms, and fearful of exposure in lupine, he stuck with what he knew and traveled as quickly as he could manage. It wasn't long before he spotted the wagon, Isa sitting in the wagon. Isa. He reached her side, arms wrapping happily around her body. It had been some time. Several scents clung to her body, all kinds of canines. Her belly was large, a good indication of the health they were in.

Glancing down Hadley noted the fox with some surprise. He was older than when Cadmeia had been brought in, with more of the look of an adolescent than a lost kit. The broken leg was all he needed to see to understand though. Acceptance quickly settled in, and he moved on. Your sister's here. She's excited about the pups. Was your trip good? Did you get everything you wanted? Hadley nuzzled her lovingly, happy that his partner was back, their scents intermingling again.
