Kohaku was having the time of his young life. He was being dominant over a much bigger, much older wolf. On top of that, Amy was praising him almost non-stop. Kohaku's innocent existence was being corrupted, turning into something much darker and more sinister. Every moment he spent with the golden dog drove the young male farther and farther away from who he should of been and brought him closer and closer to the weapon Amy wanted him to be.
Laughter from his guardian sent Kohaku's already high spirits soaring. She nuzzled him affectionately and Kohaku let go of the lesser wolf as howled with delight. However, Amy's words made him freeze. What did she mean by leaving a picture? Kohaku cocked his head in confusion and his oversized ears flopped slightly. The colorful pup looked down at the design that was carved into the other's shoulder, but he it took him a bit to figure out what it was.
At last, his greenish eyes widened as he recognized the look of a scar. His mom had a few scars and he possessed one as well. However, Kohaku didn't know how to make a scar without fire and a hot iron. That was how Amy had made his scar, but he couldn't do the same as her. Kohaku whined and his ears pinned back. Slowly he climbed down and looked at Amy with large apologetic eyes. He felt stupid for not knowing something that was clearly so simple. A prince should know better. "How do I make one?"
