Neela's excitement at seeing Jace and her almost knocking them over made Temo forget about the ball for a few moments. Although he moved back a step to keep from getting bowled over, a smile spread across his muzzle and his ears pointed forward showing his happiness of seeing an old friend. Although Temo was glad to see Neela, he did keep quiet and let the two women talk over what had happened a while back.
The reason that Jace and him had trekked this way came back to him. However, being as he was not totally enthused about having to go to the ball and mingle in a crowd, he let the girls have their discussion uninterrupted. He did not mind being late as that would mean spending less time feeling out of place among strangers. When Jace mentioned having some news, he mentally chuckled to himself because he had a fair idea of what she was about to tell Neela.
