The evening had just gotten started and all he could do was wander around, sipping his wine with as much class as he could muster. If it had been just his pack he probably would be getting fairly drunk on whiskey right now and inviting his friends to join him and fully enjoy the evening but as it was this was a first impression for him on most of the Artisan pack and he dare not portray himself as a drunk. Instead he had been taking to wine, slowly sipping it every now and then.
His mind wandered to his co-leader Anann. As of late she had become quite weak and the Knight knew from her scent that she had been pregnant on and off for the past couple of months. Clearly she was having trouble keeping any pups that her and Anatoliy managed to produce. He had only been able to watch as Garnet, his first lover, had gone through a miscarriage and the experience had ended with her leaving him, unable to cope with the stress. It amazed by worried the Knight that his friend would go through this multiple times in such a short amount of time. To help her they had agreed she would move out of the Courthouse to a cabin just outside of the Fort for more privacy but soon he would have to address the issue to the rest of the pack.
His eyes turned and found Ismeme in conversation with Hadley. The pair was very recently announced as official mates but the silver female’s belly was full of the growing pups. With little ones on the way it was important now more than ever for Casa to be a safe place but seeing the round women talking he was urged towards her with concern fresh in his mind because of Anann’s illness. Tapping on Hadley’s shoulder he spoke confidently, May I borrow Ismeme for a dance? The brown male nodded quietly and the Sole extended a massive hand out for Ismeme, intent on leading her to the dance floor. Shall we?
