Dancing, that was something she was always good at. Something her mother taught her when she was just a child, moving and weaving with grace. She would ask her mother why she needed to dance, and her mother would just shake her head never giving the child a set answer. Maybe she wanted her to find out why, or maybe this was why. Something unexpected and sudden like an alliance ball for a pack she was born in and the pack she lived in.
Lorenzo followed her without hesitation, following like a puppy dog on a leash. Though when the reach the floor he made the first move, pulling her close and putting his hand down the curve of her back, the touch made her jump slightly. Her body wanted to freeze but she fought back, this was tha man she loved. She needed to stop freezing at his touch, needed to relax at his words. But memories prevented her from being normal, from being a good little girl.
Her nerved soothed as she got the courage to move the last inch to have their bodies touch. His heat became her own, his scent engulfed her and instantly she felt safe. Indigo eyes looked up to his face, her neck straining like the first day they met but this time she did not tell him that he was too tall. Her head leaned on his chest as she let the music take them, dancing, twirling with the melody.
