Ugh Wraith, being all uppity about having a friend. :l
He complied with her request quickly enough and soon, they were both heading out to find some food. Wraith wasn't sure if she was allowed to hunt with others not from her clan (since wasn't the point of being in a clan to come together to hunt and for protection?) but she didn't think it would be too terrible if they went out and found a hare, a mole, or maybe a woodchuck. As long as it wasn't a big kill, it didn't feel like she was cheating: more like forging a bond with a potential source--even if he was kind of a weirdo. Wraith didn't want to think of him as a potential friend, since what if he turned out to be even stranger? Plus, the whole idea of liking someone from Anathema, the pack to whence her mother defected, seemed so foreign. She didn't want to think about it.

They ascended the mountain and followed a number of small animals. Eventually, Mido put his stick down and pulled out two sharp knives. Wraith immediately blanched. She hadn't realized he had real weapons!

"I usually hunt on four legs. What if you hit me with one of those?" she asked, pointing her paw at the little knives.
