Selfish child that she was, Ataxia had avoided her increasingly depressed mother and spent her time in Tlanti's old residence, which was now her home. Perhaps if she realized the depths her mother had fallen, she might have tried to stop her; she did still hold some attachment to her mother - but maybe she wouldn't have. It was too late to know now. What had been done had been done.

The D'Angelo child was completely unaware of what had occurred between her sister and her mother, and was busy taking care of her snake when the call came. He was wrapped around her arm, basking in the glow of the sun. Ataxia thought it was safe enough to let him enjoy some time outside, since the colder months had faded into spring and spring into summer. He recognized her well-enough that she was confident that he wouldn't try escaping, and she fed him often enough that he needed little other than heat. He really had no reason to escape, anyway, other than pure animal curiosity.

She hesitated, wondering if she should take the rattlesnake inside before answering the call. Something told her the creature hadn't wanted to move, however, and she padded to the ruins and where the meeting was called. There was a hint of alarm in her expression when she realized that neither Sirius nor Eris were present for this meeting. The young hybrid worried that one or both of them had been attacked, then dismissed those thoughts as impossible. Momoztli wouldn't let them die, now that they had defeated a great menace to the coyote race.

Her worries defeated, the girl cast a glance at those gathered here, before settling curiously on her pale sister. Some explanation had to be provided, and perhaps her mother and the Boss would arrive soon in any case.
