Only moments after her little spill did the blond son of Vigilante come trotting over to her, tail wagging and countenance afire with the excitement of his discovery. She grinned when she saw him, his excitement infecting her from the start even though she didn’t know what they were so excited about yet, and even though she still sat among the rocks with her butt getting soaked in a little puddle of mossy water. “Prince Skoll,” she returned, just as happy to see him as he was her.

He was offering help and Orin was glad to have it. She wrapped an arm around his shoulders and, with his assistance, got herself back to her feet. Though not three seconds passed before one slid out from under her again. This time she was able to catch herself on Skoll, though, and didn’t go down. Having four legs would be much, much easier than two right about now. Luckily, she was stable by the time the golden prince took off – which was very soon.

“I’m good, and they’re doing great,” she chimed after him, even as he took off. She was a very fast paced talker herself, and was notorious for jumping topics. She barely even noticed the rapid shift in the youth’s attention, and followed it easy enough herself.

She pussy-footed it across the rocks until she was on more stable, less slick ground, and then she jogged off after Skoll, her eyes turning to the pirate ship now that she didn’t have to stare at where she was walking. It was a great, beautiful beast wrecked there within the cove. She was absolutely shocked! She had never seen anything like this except for in her imagination, or in an old weathered drawing in the story books she liked to read.

“Skoll, you’re a genius!” she gasped, as though he was the one who put it there. Her own pink dyed tail wagged unevenly behind her as she ran on two legs toward the ship. She ran right up to it and pressed her hands on the side of the old wood as she turned and grinned at the prince. In this moment he looked oh so much like when he was a pup, excited and exuberant. It was like the pirate ship had a spell on it, for Orin, too, did not seem a bit like all of her three years as her ears flicked excitedly, and her eyes stared in wonder. “Have you been inside it yet? Is there treasure?!”
