sorry is kind of late and is kind of like wtf but brain is all messed around.
He walked along the beach, all too acutely aware of the ocean to the left of him. He came to the sea, despite his fear of it, to draw some sort of inspiration from the sand and the surf. The smell of the salt on the air kept his head clear and he needed that kind of clarity. His thinking lately had to be hard, and his choices were coming up difficult to make and hard to decide. But it was going to be worthwhile if he could finalize his thoughts. Soon enough, everything would be better for everyone.
The Dauphin took a deep breath of the salty air, and let the smell settle on him. The breeze was strong against his pelt, but it still felt nice to have a chilly wind when the sun was always so warm on his brown fur. But he suddenly stopped at the sight of a white jacket laying in the sand, abandoned. Furrowing his brows, the redheaded man crouched by the jacket to pick it up. He folded it over his arm as he straightened, shaking it out so that the sand fell off it. He gazed at the sea to see an unfamiliar - or was it familiar - man romping in the waves. Strel shivered at the thought of it being him, though he'd be frozen with fear under the waves. He knew that if he went in that far, he would surely drown. The sea scared the crap out of him.
The man started to emerge from the waves and the redheaded man suddenly stepped back quite a bit. Hopefully the stranger didn't see him take his jacket with him. But he came back to the man, after he plopped down onto the sand and coughed up water. Another shudder ran through him as he approached the bi-colored man. "You seem to have left your jacket lying around on the sand," he said dumbly, hoping that he sounded even a little bit suave, despite the feeling of him not being at all alluring lately.
