Niro had been awake for a day and asleep for five before that. He was afraid and yet he had to act strong for his children and mate. He was in terrible pain but there wasn’t much he could do about that, he knew he wouldn’t be able to move around for a while and wished he had fallen asleep in his lupus form... at least then he could walk on three paws instead of one... but the case now was he’d have to find something that would help him walk if he wanted to get out. Unfortunately he couldn’t even crawl. The cuts were far too fresh and barely started to heal. The gash on his shoulder was the worst of it in his opinion, though he knew that the worst thing the woman could ever do was rip the tendon of his ankle apart. Because of that he knew he was never going to hunt again.
It was a cool partially cloudy day and he was sitting up watching the clouds outside as they moved. Orin had kept the window open so Marahute could come and go as she pleased. It made Niro happy that the bird came to visit. He was glad the bird cared and knew that the rest of his family should visit soon. He saw them recently but even now he wished he was home in his cave enjoying a meal he caught.With a sigh he closed his eyes telling himself over and over that he would get through this. Marahute’s wing had been broken clean and he thought she would never fly again. But with his tender care and the help of the woman whos’ mate shot her, she was healed fully and could fly again. He too would hunt. He would do everything in his power to get that back. Then he would hunt the red faced woman and kill her.
