He knew his world was turning upside down as she shoved him off her, he did not resist, he deserved it. She yelled and he stared at her wide eyed, not a word came out of his mouth though. He had nothing to say, what could he do, the only thing that came to mind was fix things when he got back because he would make certain his task was complete before he got back to New Dawn. He clumsily got to his feet as she stalked off yelling at him more.
“Palaydrian, wait! You don’t understand!”
He yelled after her, trying to get to her, but she would not stop and he knew that his perfect night was turned to the worst night. His heart sank as she disappeared into the forest leaving him alone with the courting fireflies. His ears were pulled back and tail tucked. Had he just ruined his whole relationship with the only woman he would ever love?
