The dog had been given the name of the place in which to find the female again before she had fled. The parting had been a awkward one at best. It was because of this that he had given a good bit of time to pass before going to seek her out again. This was simply because he had promised that he would see her again. There were lessons to give. It was these promises that had finally drawn him into attempting to seek her out. If he hadn't given his word then the dog would have most likely forgotten all about it. Dealing with rejection really wasn't a strong suit of his and was therefore something that he'd really rather not have to deal with.
He had to put the circumstances of that first meeting behind him were he to pursue the friendship that he had thought he had a chance of achieving. Zeitgeist had to forget his desires and to help him do that Guillotine stood at his side. With the boy near him then there was no way that nothing else could happen. At least that was Z's reasoning. If the older male started to get overly familiar than Guillotine could always remind him of his presence and pull him back from whatever dangerous path his thoughts might start to wander down.
Zeitgeist had eventually been told where this place of New Dawn was and had made his way to the borders. He paused along where the scent marks were the strongest, having been warned not to cross over these areas as he had no experience with packs in the slightest. He lifted his muzzle to the air and let forth a sound that only a hound was able to produce. It was quite a distinct call and wouldn't likely be confused for any other. It attested to his dog heritage rather than the dominance of wolves that seem to be most prominent. With the call made there as nothing he could do but to what to see if the lady would show herself or if he would need to put in a special request. He had no idea the way in which these things worked.
