Draugr is by Requiem!

Her lack of physical strength was not disconcerting. Draugr was not as big, tall, or strong as her mother, and yet she had her strengths, too. Perhaps someday, with work and dedication, she might achieve more strength, too. Training was made for such things, and Draugr had no aversion whatsoever to training. She rather liked the idea of self-improvement -- in fact, she relished the idea. It was, as Dra saw it, one's primary reason for life. If not to always better oneself and one's situation, what else was there?

The wolfdog's ear twitched at the proposition of an expert -- did she dare propose Gjalda? Perhaps it was shameful to ask advice of a slave. They were valued for their labor, not their minds. Still, Draugr had found the slaves far more eloquent and intelligent than she had expected. In the end, the hybrid decided it was best to simply nod at his description, eyes tracing the probable path. She thought it excessive to verbally praise his choice of path, and kept still and silent other than her nod.

When he asked a more direct question of her, Dra considered a moment, raising one hand to toy with her chin. Yes, she concluded. It might be good to seed the tilled earth around the stones afterward -- you'll need to walk carefully for a time, but the grass should help keep them in place, and keep the earth from swallowing the stones again. This proposal about the grass was as she'd learned as a child: it was easier to dig in ground that was free of grass and plants. The long, tall grass that grew around Salsola, especially, required a lot of digging, for its roots were wide, long, and went very deep.
