Isa’s belly was very well rounded since the pups would be brought into the world any day now, hopefully. Complications with both pregnancy and birth were common in her family, so much so that it was never a surprise when there was a litter of all stillborn pups or that the mother died in childbirth. Isa would be devastated if her pups never got to take their first breath. She couldn’t think about that though, Hadley was already worried enough without knowing of her families history.
She wandered around Casa, just trying to keep her mind busy. She was about to turn back and find Hadley when she saw a male she wasn’t too familiar with. Having heard about him from Hadley, Isa was aware that his name was Coeus and that he was rather fond of books. Both her and Thana knew how to read and write but she hadn’t come across anyone else who did, or at least she didn’t know if anyone else could. Isa hadn’t read any good books since she had left home and kept meaning to get to the library in Casa but just never seemed to get there. There was always things she needed to do it seemed and when she did have free time, she was usually going for a walk or was with Hadley. Perhaps Coeus would be willing to point out a few good books for her sometime. Waddling up to the young man, Isa smiled, noticing he was focused on the book before him. Hello there Coeus. Mind if I join you? She motioned to the spot beside him and began to wonder what book he had with him at the moment.
