The boy licked his blood stained chops after swallowing the last of his pitiful meal. It was hardly even satisfying but it was too late now to gripe about what he could have caught. He was grateful for what he had caught at least and yawned widely, displaying his long fangs to the dark murky world of the old abandoned library. Almost all day on the road was tiring, his parents had made a three day journey on foot and had to keep three horses and four rambunctious youngsters in line, it was a daunting task to consider.
Honrin lazily chewed on a half gnawed bone for lack of anything to do and finally snapped it up, cracking it with his jaw and swallowing it. There wasn't much conversation between the two men but that was usual, neither was very talkative or into conversation much. He snorted, a plume of dust rising with the action. The morning would see them working hard to find knowledge but for now he would rest and sleep. With a muttered goodnight to Temo who was still devouring his own dinner Honrin laid his head down on his paws and closed his eyes, sinking into his dreamworld before they had even finished closing.
