Beneath Temo's eyelids, his eyes danced and moved about to some unseen choreographer as dreams flitted about the inside of his head as he slept. Only the inner shadows between his ears knew what the dreams were about because when he awoke, the dreams would fade into the mists of nothingness.
The stirrings of his son that was sleeping nearby signaled his brain that it was time to get up but his body resisted trying to get that last bit of sleep that it could eek out. His consciousness swam up to the light of morning and it was not long before Temo was awake and aware of the world around him. At first, he was confused because the surroundings were not his bedroom then he remembered the trip and the reasons for the trip and being here.
With a long stretch containing some popping and cracking of various joints in his body and a yawn to greet the morning, Temo noticed Honrin with a book in his hands, Find anything? he queried his son. Feeling better from the night of sleep and the morning stretch, he started looking at the spines of the books on the shelf deciding which one to dust off and open up next.
